trying to plump up

In anticipation of Brett's arrival I have been eating as much unhealthy food as possible with as little exercise as possible. This may sound easy, but it takes a lifestyle change. The plan is to plump up as much as I can now, then start hitting the weights. I think it is kind of working, my tummy looks softer. Yesterdays workout:
double cheeseburger, fries, and a bucket of soda for lunch
lots and lots of beer and two hot dogs for dinner
two slices of pepperoni as a midnight snack on the way home

Each of the following groups alternated through each exercise with 20 reps the first round, 15 the second, and 10 the third and increased weight each round.

Made the whole practice, but it was incredibly painful. I also was unable to get to 90-100%. Basically had one speed the entire time, and it was ugly.

I made it to the second 200 free pull and got out. Also didn't make all the 100s and 150s.

Too nice to be indoors

I biked over 2 miles to a pond with my fishing gear on my back.
I fished for a couple of hours and caught two bass.
Then I biked back home and had dinner. All in all, successful afternoon.

Getting back

Finally started going back to practice again after taking two months off. My third work out back was a hard one. I made it half way through the 100s.

Warm-up:

pick a pace and hold it

I decided to do it backstroke and managed to hold a :36 pace up until half way through the hundreds when i started dragging ass and had to get out.

Holy shitballs

This may come as a surprise, but I've been swimming four times a week for the last month. I don't do much, 1200-1500 yards per, but I go right after work and have been enjoying it.

Today:
200 swim
200 pull
4x25 breast/free, I pull out, three breaststrokes, and free the rest of the way
6x100 pull on 1:40, I try to hold it between 1:15 and 1:20, which is basically light speed for me
100 breast/free
100 pull warmdown

Then cigarettes, beer, and chicken wings, but still.
